My focus is on structural and conceptual design for environmental graphics and the built environment.
I do not design logos, banners, or graphics for vehicles or billboards. I do not make marketing or promotional materials. If you have a need for this type of work, I can connect you with designers who can help. I do not do code research and do not interpret code. Additionally, I am not a licensed engineer and thus anything requiring an engineering stamp will be the responsibility of the client. I am capable of getting the engineering very close, but it needs to be evaluated by a licensed engineer.
Adobe Suite, Corel Graphics Suite, SolidWorks and SolidWorks Visualize. Other Software can be used if necessary.
My prices are dictated by the project and drawing type, varying according to the complexity of the project, purpose of drawing, and the clarity of information provided by the client. The more information that is provided to me and the more organized it is the less the project will cost. Sales, Permit and Fabrication drawings for the same job may each have different costs depending on how complicated the design is. Typically, if I do all three drawing types, the process becomes more efficient and may also be more cost effective. Contact me to start a conversation about your project and I will be happy to provide you with a quote.
If you are starting to work with me on a project or if you are just interested in a quote, please send me an email with details about the project, including the size, colors (PMS, RGB, CYMK, or major material manufacturer), type(s) of sign(s), preferred fabrication methods, specific materials that are required, and code requirements. In addition, photographs of the proposed sign location, logos (vector art), and any other important details that will be needed in order for me to complete the project. Providing me with complete, organized and detailed information will allow me to work quickly and with precision to create exactly what you need. If your request is vague or missing information, this may result in delays to your project. Sharing clear and concise information is important to the success of any project.
I will provide Corel, Adobe or SolidWorks native files along with PDFs or JPGs. Other file formats will be provided upon request.
In my drawings I specify industry-standard materials and fabrication and installation methods; however, each shop, local jurisdiction, and engineer is different, and it's impossible to know exactly what may or may not be required in the area where the project will be installed. It is your responsibility to ensure anything I design meets all local code requirements, is designed in a way that your shop can fabricate and install, and has been reviewed and stamped by a licensed local structural engineer when required. I am capable of getting the engineering very close, but it needs to be evaluated by a licensed engineer. I am happy to make updates and revisions as required to reflect any modifications needed to meet the above mentioned items.
